Confidence Leads me to Victory
What is the state of my confidence today? Am I intact and courageously facing the scenes of drama as they unfold in day-to-day activities, or am I tattered like a leaf that the insects have attacked? Am I even afraid to go ahead in case some vermin, real or imaginary, attack and tear me to pieces even more?
It is very easy to lose confidence in myself, confidence in others, confidence in institutions and upheld value systems. My confidence slowly vanishes. The present does not project a good future, and it is this fear of the uncertainty of the future that sometimes makes us lose confidence in life generally.
I may not be able to control the various circumstances of life and I may not be able to change any of the existing systems and 'ocracies' by which I am surrounded, but one thing, one very important aspect lies within my control. That is I, that individual, that separate and distinct entity called the person, who can control, change, mould and create a future that is bright for me.
When I become introspective and start working to cultivate the garden within myself, I get to know and recognize my real being, my real existence, my real purpose for living. In this awareness and experience, I become filled with a confidence that is not easily bitten by the worms of circumstances. It is a confidence that is nurtured in the truth of God and self. I will always be victorious with a strong union between the self and God. Confidence in the self helps me carry on and confidence in God leads me to victory.
